-The pursuit of happiness-
Sociology class was quite an interesting class.I have always admired learning how a social group works and how it seems to affect our lives. Our project for the sem is to make a documentary about social issues, and we got poverty. Yeah, I know the word that is cousins with hunger, sadness, homelessness and all that other stuff, but when you actually start doing it and 'socializing' with the people under the cloud of poverty, it paints a totally different picture. You'll hear heartbreaking stories of families left behind and that their source of income can only be streched for so far that sometimes eating is the only thing that they're actually working for. Their kids go to school, basically public and have lunch money of 3pesos to 10pesos, imagine people who eat lunch and have something else after that. Are we not lucky? I think it's really more meaningful if a person was to live for a cause that will make very much sense. To live is to know that you're making a difference in th world and the life of others. At the end of this documentary, I wanna be sure that we'll be able to give these people hope and also show others that if all row the boat at the same time, we can change the current of life. We are the change, nothing else...
